What we thought was a cut and dry case of sleeping in turned out to be an epic battle of hacking with Mumbai and China. This morning we found that our server had been the target of an international squadron of hackers. (maybe only one hacker using multiple computers in different nations) It was a serious battle of wits and boring computer commands.

In our efforts to grow the system, we flew a little too close to the sun. Fame Game was down for a few hours this morning, but we’ve gotten it back up and running.

UPDATE: To clarify, we ran out of server space because we were too cautious about our backups (note to new startups: you probably dont need to keep a copy of the database for everyday going back six months).
